A Day for Veterans.

So on this eleventh day of the eleventh month we pause to remember all who have served; those still with us and those who are not; some whose names are on signs and some whose names are forgotten. We may forget their names but we cannot forget their sacrifice and duty.

This Man I Did Not Know.

His years of sacrifice, service and devotion are not wasted and certainly not forgotten. ... all that I know to be right, just and free I owe to all those names and faces I never knew…including this man I did not know.

Born to Be.

Who were you Born to Be? I may not have been born a dairy farmer, but I was born to be one.

The Audacity to Talk About the Science.

If they are willing and wanting to silence the farmer, and if they are desperate to silence the scientist, then who is it that is supposed to speak?

Waste and Want.

Food waste is an integral part of the sustainability conversation for farmers, not only as a renewable energy source but also as part of the solution for hunger in a time where we farmers truly are capable of feeding the world.

Cougars and Cows.

Every town has its team and something to make them special. It just so happens that Dixfield, Maine has its Cougars and its cows.

I am an agvocate 365.

There is nothing wrong with being a good advocate. There is nothing wrong with being passionate. And ...there is nothing wrong with being a good farmer.

It’s a Well Deserved, Wonderful Life.

It is, indeed, a well deserved, wonderful life for we dairy farmers, milk truck drivers and everyone who works to get our milk to your table.

Just Ask Me.

I'm their farmer. I will tell you the truth. It may not be the truth you want because sometimes it isn't pretty and sometimes it's messy, but I will tell you and you will know the truth. Just ask me.

This Man I Did Not Know.

...all that I know to be right, just and free I owe to many I do not know.

Just Smile.

...along with all the blessings of being a farmer there are the heartaches and pain that sometimes drown out all the good things. But because we are farmers we don't step back long because it's okay to get riled up. It's more than okay to fight for what's right. It is never wrong to protect your own, we just have to do it between milkings and after the crops are in... and we have to remember to #justsmile.

So this Milkmaid walks into a bar….

This calf trusts...Not what is popular or emotional but what’s right for her-which may be different than what’s prettiest for the consumer or easiest for the farmer and employees.
